In what, so far, is the biggest game in the entire history of the Louisville women’s basketball program. The Lady Cardinals take on the Oklahoma Sooners tonight in the Final Four. The Final Four is the first appearance for Louisville and the second for Oklahoma who advanced to the national championship game in 2002 only to fall to UConn 82-70.
The Cardinals are enjoying a dream season en route to winning 33 games so far, the most in school history. Angel Mccoughtry has become one of the most decorated athletes in school history and could possibly be a #1 pick in the WNBA draft. and Jeff Walz is one of the hottest names in coaching right now, at least in women’s basketball.
There’s a great article from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on how exactly this team came together.
The Cards take on the Sooners tonight at 7:00 PM.
